Date of creation: 1986.

Made by an A Division prisoner.

This football-shaped artefact, created by an inmate known as Trevor, symbolises a prisoner's entrepreneurial spirit and connection to the outside world. Constructed from the colours of various VFL (now AFL) teams, each model features a single eye embedded within it, representing the "one-eyed supporter."

Produced in Pentridge's textile workshop, these meaningful tokens were shared with staff and inmates, serving as powerful reminders of personal passions and hopes for a life beyond the prison walls.

Trevor gifted this model to his teacher in the A Division Education Centre.

"The one eyed St Kilda model lives in my office as a reminder of my connection with St Kilda but, more emphatically, as a reminder of Trevor’s thoughtful entrepreneurial approach to exploring possibilities within his life beyond this prison term."

In private collection (R W).
